Sen. John Cornyn joined AEI’s Gerard Robinson to discuss criminal justice reform. As a cosponsor of the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act, which would reduce mandatory minimums for certain crimes and invest in programs that reduce recidivism, Sen. Cornyn discussed the need to invest in the nation’s incarcerated individuals to prepare them for life after prison and deter criminal activity in the future.
