Key findings of this report include the fact that “in DC, children and young adults are more frequently exposed to violent crime than any other age group. Nearly 40 percent of survey respondents school aged through 25 years reported being a victim or observer of a gun crime in the last year alone. When other violent crimes are taken into account, that number jumps to more than 50 percent.”
