On March 23rd, 2020, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a management guide which, “provides interim guidance specific for correctional facilities and detention centers during the outbreak of COVID-19, to ensure continuation of essential public services and protection of the health and safety of incarcerated and detained persons, staff, and visitors.”
