Social Justice Advocate Fellowship
Brave New Films

For the third year in a row, Brave New Films will offer a one-year paid fellowship for social justice advocates from communities of color and/or economically marginalized communities. The Brave New Fellows Program is an opportunity to gain on-the-job training and concrete work experience in creating films for social justice activism.

Our five fellows work alongside experienced staff, building practical skills in digital storytelling, production, post-production, campaign strategies, outreach, and social media. Fellows spend the majority of the year in one of three areas: post-production, outreach, or social media. They leave prepared for jobs in media, advocacy, and filmmaking.

The fellowship is a perfect fit for someone who feels passionate about social justice, aspires to use film to support activism, takes initiative, and loves to learn by doing.

The application process opened up this week and completed applications are due Friday, August 4th. Please share this with your community and anyone you think may be a good fit! Encourage them to apply today! For more information check out: www.bravenewfilms.org/fellowships.

Stay tuned! In the coming weeks, we will have a webinar with more information and a chance to ask questions. For the latest updates, follow and like our FB page: Brave New Fellows Program.
