Personally rewarding work helping returning citizens deal with problems from homelessness to the lack of any personal identification, family reintegration, access to health care, and the challenge of orienting themselves to a changed world. The position is open to social workers and people who have learned from personal experience how to overcome barriers, survive, grow and achieve after being released from prison.
Project New Opportunity is particularly interested in candidates who would be prepared to work for federal inmates returning to the Eastern District of Virginia and environs including DC, Maryland, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania which includes Philadelphia.
