The Project is part of the remedy in the Gonzalez v Pritzker class action case with the Census Bureau. The Project will provide educational information to African-American and Latino individuals who applied for positions with the 2010 Census and were sent a 30-day letter asking them to provide accurate information about their criminal records as a condition of being considered for employment. The Attorney is responsible for analyzing the criminal records of class respondents, triaging cases based on complexity, and developing and, with staff, delivering appropriate individualized instruction to each person via in-person, phone, and/or videoconference meetings.
