American Civil Liberties Union of Washington State (ACLU-WA) is searching for a new Executive Director. The ACLU-WA is regarded as one of the strongest ACLU affiliates with more than 80,000 members, 40 full-time staff, and hundreds of volunteers, and is a powerful force for protecting and promoting a broad range of civil liberties, including de-incarceration, immigrants’ rights, racial justice, free speech, privacy, reproductive rights, LGBTQ equality, and more. The new Executive Director will join ACLU-WA at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history and at a time of dynamic growth in the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive executive leadership experience, a genuine commitment to and passion for the ACLU’s mission, deep substantive knowledge of civil liberties, a demonstrated commitment to racial equity, and an ability to inspire and mobilize a diverse group of individuals around a shared vision.
