Kathleen Hawk Sawyer Again Leads Bureau of Prisons

“Attorney General William Barr replaced the head of the Bureau of Prisons, the latest fallout from the death in federal custody of multimillionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, reports the Washington Post. Kathleen Hawk Sawyer is returning to BOP as director, a post she held from 1992 to 2003. Barr appointed Hawk Sawyer as the agency’s director in his earlier tenure as Attorney General in the George H. W. Bush administration.”
