Ms. Susan Burton is founder and Executive Director of A New Way of Life, a nonprofit that provides sober housing and other support to formerly incarcerated women. She is nationally known as an advocate for restoring basic civil rights to those who served time.

She will be joined by Lorig Charkoudian, PhD, Executive Director of Community Mediation Maryland and founder of re-entry mediation. Re-entry mediation was founded in Maryland and has been shown to decrease recidivism. It is now considered a national model, for healing relationships and supporting transition from incarceration to the community.
