Monday, April 29, 2019, from
10am to 1pm at the Sixth Floor Community Engagement and Achievement Center at
633 Indiana Avenue NW.
President Donald J. Trump has declared April Second Chance Month to “draw attention to the challenges that former inmates face and the steps we can take to ensure they have the opportunity to become contributing members of society.”
This event will highlight the work of CSOSA’s Community Engagement and Achievement Centers in preparing clients to enter the workforce through the voice of successful CSOSA clients as well as employers and training providers who work with and provide opportunities for them. During the event, we will also explore the benefits of hiring returning citizens, funding opportunities, and national laws and policy intended to improve the readiness of returning citizens entering the workforce.
