Registration is Now Open for NJJN’s 2016 Annual Forum!
July 24, 2016 - July 27, 2016
Join the National Juvenile Justice Network July 25-27 in Memphis, Tennessee for NJJN’s 2016 Forum. This annual event brings together advocates for youth justice reform for training, networking, strategy-sharing — and fun!
This year, NJJN is proud to announce that the forum will be hosted by the awesome alumni of NJJN’s Youth Justice Leadership Institute! Because the Institute focuses on racial justice, and because its alumni represent the communities most directly impacted by the youth justice system, these leaders are natural conveners for this gathering of reformers from across the country. This year’s Forum will bring together youth, families, advocates and allies for workshops, plenaries, and more, and will be focused on enabling all of us to achieve real change in our youth justice systems. It will have a strong focus on racial justice and placing those directly impacted by the system – families, youth, and communities of color, among others — at the forefront of the youth justice reform movement.
Among other highlights, there will be a special focus on racial justice and youth leadership development. And — for the first time ever — Forum hosts are making arrangements to bring 15 system-impacted youth from NJJN member states to the Forum, for leadership development and other learning opportunities.
Remember, the Forum is an unparalleled opportunity for networking and sharing strategies with your colleagues and allies from across the country – but it only comes once a year. Don’t miss it!
Scholarships are available for travel and lodging on a first come, first-served basis (with a preference for geographical diversity). Scholarship applications must be received by
Friday, April 29.
