This, the third webinar of the JPI series, provides a broad overview of the current state of the death penalty nationally.It will explore whether the current death penalty has some of the same problems that forced the Supreme Court to rule that this ultimate punishment was unconstitutional in the Furman v. Georgia decision in 1972 due to its arbitrary and capricious administration.
Webinar will be moderated by Frank Baumgartner, author of the book Deadly Justice: A Statistical Portrait of the Death Penalty. Panelists include co-authors Marty Davidson, Colin Wilson and Arvind Krishnamurthy
