IMPACT is a project to help increase minority attainment of senior level positions in the U.S. Senate. The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies released a report in 2015 entitled Racial Diversity Among Top Senate Staff. When taking into account senior staff positions (Chiefs of Staff, Legislative Directors, Communications Directors), the report found extremely low numbers of minorities holding these positions.
