On Monday April 25, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the DOL Cesar Chavez Auditorium, a screening of documentary “City of Trees” (76 mins.) will be hosted by the Dept. of Labor (DOL) and Court Services and Offender Supervision (CSOSA).

The movie features a D.C. nonprofit struggling to implement an ambitious “green jobs” program that hires 150 unemployed returning citizens to plant trees in underserved parks. But for the trainees, the program represents something much more hopeful — the means to give a child a better life, a second chance after a conviction, or a path to community leadership.
