On November 13, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in partnership with National Association of Counties, and U.S. Conference of Mayors will host a Congressional Briefing Tackling the Opioid Epidemic and its Hidden Casualties: Local Health Departments on the Front Lines. This briefing will focus on prevention strategies and underscore the necessity for a strong federal-state-local partnership and dedicated resources for local public health in any national opioid strategy.
