Racial Justice Series: Community Policing & Engagement. At the event, police and criminal-justice experts will discuss the intersection of race and policing, national trends and initiatives, and local policing practices.

Expert panel to include:
- Laurie Robinson (Co-chair of President Obama’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing & Criminology professor at George Mason University Law School);
- Commander Jacob Kishter (Director, Metropolitan Police Academy); and
- Alicia Yass (Legal Counsel, District of Columbia Office of Police Complaints).
The discussion will be moderated by Nkechi Taifa, Advocacy Director for Criminal Justice at the Open Society Foundations.
Racial Justice Series: Community Policing costs $10 for Washington Council of Lawyers Members, Women’s Bar Association Members, and law students; and $20 for everyone else.
