Last year’s rally drew more than 300 people, most of them former prisoners or family members. This tremendous turnout happened because so many prisoners encouraged their loved ones to attend. The more we can promote the rally behind the walls, the bigger the 2019 rally will be, and the more the state legislators will understand that support for genuine prison reform is deep and broad and cannot any longer be ignored.
