National Action Network’s Annual Legislative & Policy Conference on November 13th – 14th, 2018. Our ongoing theme, “From Demonstration to Legislation,” expresses the sense of action and advocacy we are bringing to Washington, D.C. and reflects the next step we need to take in our activism. Stemming from our convention in April we will not give up our obligation as leaders within our communities to seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws securing and promoting civil rights.

Overall, this conference is designed to allow NAN members to interact with elected Members of Congress, fellow activists and advocates alike and to work on concrete ways to achieve Dr. King’s dream. Join us as we meet with key Senators and U.S House Representatives to work towards that dream together.

It is vital that we continue to advocate for legislative policies that protect our rights on matters such as a fair criminal justice system, access to the ballot box, sustainable jobs with a living wage, affordable health care, and an equitable public education. Our reception will also take place on Tuesday, November 13th at the AT&T Forum located at 601 New Jersey Ave, Washington, DC 20001.
