On Wednesday, November 23, OSF announced this initiative and, on December 1, provided more details about a special fund that has been established to provide grants of between $15,000 and $150,000 to aid in supporting and protecting targets of hateful rhetoric and actions and furthering community resilience in the face of these words and actions. We will be providing up to $3 million at the outset. As of December 1st, we began accepting applications and will continue to do so through February 15, 2017. Given the rapid response nature of these grants, we will make funding decisions on an expedited basis, distribute money quickly, and enable grantees to get to work fast.
More information about the initiative and the guidelines for applying can be found on the OSF web site here.
