Every year, the U.S. Sentencing Commission asks the public to comment on a list of sentencing issues that the Commission is 1) proposing to study or 2) may require new or amended guidelines. From now until July 25, you have an opportunity to tell the Commission what you think they should focus on in the coming year! Is there a guideline that you think unfairly affected your loved one’s sentence? Is there a problem in federal sentencing you think the Commission should study and fix? Or do you just have ideas about the list the Commission published on June 10?
