Criminal Justice Policy Foundation
CJPF is looking for a student or recent graduate to serve as an intern. CJPF is a small, 30-year old advocacy organization focusing on drug policy reform and sentencing reform. The intern will work directly with Executive Director, Eric E. Sterling, to support his writing and speaking assignments. Intern will primarily write and research in support of op-eds, webpages, blog posts, and speaking engagements. Intern will accompany Eric to coalition meetings, speaking engagements, interviews, etc. This is not an administrative or make work position. Salary is negotiable. There are no minimum qualifications. Persons who have been directly impacted by the criminal justice system or the “war on drugs” are encouraged to apply.
A successful candidate will demonstrate high intelligence, outstanding writing and editing skills, attention to detail, ambition, self-direction and a desire to effect political and social change.
