May 14th, 2pm E.T.
State advocates will discuss practical strategies to advocate for the release of persons from prison and to provide reentry services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion will focus on how recent release and reentry trends in response to the novel coronavirus are part of a long tradition of decarceration advocacy to challenge mass incarceration.
