Policing the Black Man: An Online Book Discussion
October 16, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am EDT

Angela J. Davis discusses new book with Kristin Henning and Marc Mauer

Policing the Black Man: Arrest, Prosecution, and Imprisonment is a compelling collection of essays exploring and critiquing the many ways the criminal justice system impacts the lives of African American boys and men at every stage of the criminal process. Toni Morrison states that this “powerful book demands our fierce attention.”

The Sentencing Project invites you to join the book’s editor Angela J. Davis, Professor of Law at American University and The Sentencing Project’s board member, for an online book discussion on Monday, October 16th at 12 – 1pm EST.

Professor Davis will be joined by contributing authors Kristin Henning, Professor of Law and Director of the Juvenile Justice Clinic at Georgetown Law School, and Marc Mauer, Executive Director of The Sentencing Project.
