National Action Network to Convene Members of Congress, Administration Officials and Civil Rights Leaders for Legislative & Policy Conference on Capitol Hill
September 5, 2016 - September 7, 2016

National Action Network (NAN) will host its annual Legislative and Policy Conference on Capitol Hill this Tuesday, September 6, and Wednesday, September 7, which will lay out the organization’s policy agenda for 2017. Rev. Al Sharpton, President and Founder of National Action Network, said: “By taking the fight for our issues directly to the halls of Congress we are sending a clear message in this election year and into the future: we will not let voting rights be trampled on, we stand for equal protection under the law for everyone, and that the future of the Supreme Court matters. NAN has a long and proud history of taking the fight for justice from the streets across the country to the powers that-be in our nation’s capital – and we look forward to meeting with congressional leaders to convey our message.”
