DC Convening of National Town Hall Meeting – Ending Incarceration of Women and Girls: How We Get There
July 21, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT

This is a National convening. Women who have been impacted by the Criminal Justice system and leaders who are engaging in gender-responsive, criminal justice reform across the nation will be holding the Town Hall meeting simultaneously.

The data captured at the National Town Hall Meeting will capture the socioeconomic conditions women experience before incarceration, the programming or lack of programming they receive during incarceration and the subsequent challenges of reentry. This report entitled: Ending the Mass Incarceration of Women and Girls- How we get there! will offer solutions and recommendations. This will be the first report about formerly incarcerated women by formerly incarcerated women and female leaders across the nation who support gender-responsive criminal justice reform.

Come out and let your voice be heard. We need your perspective and expertise.

Lunch will be served!!!

This DC National Town Hall Meeting is hosted by The WIRE: Women Involved in Reentry Efforts.

This is sponsored by The National Council of Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls (NCIFIWG) The Institute of the Black World (IBW) and Broken Links Ministry.
