Voices of Women and Girls on Menstruation, Dignity, and the Issue of Access

10:00am – 11:30am

Wednesday, November 29, 2017

Capitol Visitor’s Center (SVC) Room 203-02

Entrance on First St. NE

(don’t forget to bring your I.D.!)

Join us in a robust discussion about the need for affordable, adequate, and appropriate access to menstrual products throughout a woman’s lifecycle. Girls in schools, women and girls in shelters, and women who were formerly incarcerated will share their personal experiences with limited or restricted access to menstrual products, to illustrate how critical these items are to their ability to thrive. In addition to amplifying these stories, the Briefing will highlight the need for thoughtful public policy solutions to this pervasive problem.

Because NO woman should have to sacrifice their education, economic security,

or safety to meet a basic biological need!
