INFINITE HOPE:

How Wrongful Conviction, Solitary Confinement,

and 12 Years on Death Row Failed to Kill My Soul

By Anthony Graves

Tuesday, March 13th at 12:30 pm

Please stay after the Justice Roundtable Meeting for a book signing and discussion with Anthony Graves

Like many people in his rural Texas community, Anthony Graves had never thought much about the death penalty, until, as he recently noted, “the death penalty came knocking on my door and changed my life forever.” When Graves was twenty-six years old, he was falsely accused of murdering a family of six in Somerville, Texas.

After eighteen years in prison, he was finally fully exonerated and released. Exposing America’s cruel and highly racist criminal justice system, Graves’s story illustrates the horrors of the death penalty and why caging prisoners for years in solitary confinement is constitutionally unjust.
